EasyWerewolf is the original social deduction game — the one that everything else in the genre is built on. It is simple enough to explain in two minutes and deep enough to produce genuinely tense, memorable moments every time.
How it works
Players are secretly assigned roles — most are Villagers, but a few are Werewolves. The game alternates between night (where the Werewolves secretly eliminate a player) and day (where the full group debates and votes to eliminate who they think the Werewolf is).
The Werewolves win if they survive long enough. The Villagers win if they find and eliminate all the Werewolves.
Everything in between — the accusations, the defences, the alliances, the betrayals — is what makes it great.
Why it works for groups
There are no boards, no pieces, no complex rules to learn. The game is entirely social. It scales naturally from 8 to 25 players, which makes it one of the most versatile options for parties and events.
It also works across a wide age range. I run age-appropriate versions for children’s parties (with modified roles and pacing) and full-tension versions for adult events.
What I bring
- All role cards
- Facilitation of the full session
- Multiple rounds with debrief between each
Best for
Birthday parties, hen and stag events, family gatherings, school workshops, any group that wants something to do together that isn’t passive.
